BARDWELL — Paul Wayne Payne, 66, of Martin, Tenn., formerly of Bardwell, died at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.

He was a member of the Laborers Union of North America #1214, a member of the Engineers Local # 819, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Union Bible Baptist Church.

He is survived by three daughters, LaVonuna McKnight of Wells, Texas, Latonya Cashion of Bardstown, and LaDonuna Payne Forrester of Martin, Tenn.; four sisters, Alline Grogan of Clinton, Faye Payne of Bowling Green, and Sue Clemons and Inez Webb, both of Bardwell; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Juanita Payne, and one brother.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with the Rev. Terry Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
