FANCY FARM SEmD William Pius Toon, 84, of Fancy Farm and formerly of Peoria, Ill., died at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday at  Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm, was retired from the Caterpillar Company in Peoria, Ill., and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include three stepdaughters, Phyllis Thompson of Fancy Farm, and Shirley Hobbs and Margie Toon, both of Washington, Ill.; two brothers, Larry Toon of Florida and Rudy Toon of Washington; two sisters, Anna Rose Buckman of Fancy Farm and Jo Ann Andrus of Wichita Falls, Texas; 18 stepgrandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren, stepgreat-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Bridget Shanks Toon; four brothers; and six sisters.

His parents were Charles Kelvie and Mary Alma Roberts Toon.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Father Darrell Venters officiating, with burial in St. Jerome Church Cemetery.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the charity of one’s choice.

Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
