Betty J. Strong, 83, of Rushville, Ill., passed away at 3:05 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the Superior Care Home in Paducah, Kentucky.

Surviving are a son, Robert A. Strong and wife Carol of Raymond, Mississippi; a daughter, Kathy Wallace and husband Dr. Jesse Wallace of Paducah, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Wallace, David Wallace, Sarah Wallace, Stephen Wallace, Anne (Wallace) Bohle and husband Ryan, Christopher Wallace, Patrick Strong, Amanda Strong, and Bryan Strong; a great-granddaughter, Emmaline Strong; a brother, Richard Leezer and wife Carol of Cuba; a sister, Ada Wilson of Canton, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rushville with Reverend John Sowers officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rushville, Alzheimer’s Association or the Dr. Russell R. Dohner Living Memorial.
