BENTON — Francis H. Hibbs, 94, of Benton died Monday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
He was a member of Sharpe Baptist Church. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Willis Hibbs; three daughters, Linda Sledd of Paducah, Mary Bohleber of Gilbertsville and Judith Vied of Delray Beach, Fla.; four sons, Stanley Ray Hibbs and Roger Hibbs, both of Benton, Hugh Hibbs of Calvert City, and Larry Hibbs of Symsonia; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
His parents were Bill Hibbs and Burl Manley Hibbs.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Collier Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Marlin Mitchell officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Benton.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
