MURRAY — Janie Edwards, 97, of Murray died at 3:35 p.m. Sunday at Spring Creek Health Care Center.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Murray.

She is survived by two sons, Donald K. Edwards of Murray and Ronald J. Edwards of Roseburg, Ore.; three daughters, Norma Dean Ford of Murray, and Georgia Lou Lockhart, and Shirley Jane Edwards, both of Hazel; 11 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Raymond Edwards; one daughter, Betty May Edwards; one son, Billy Ray Edwards; and three sisters. Her parents were Milus and Edith Evans Hendrick.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Old Salem Cemetery.
