Jerry Don Amis Sr., 70, of Paducah died Sunday at Western Baptist Hospital.

He was retired from construction, working as a welder/carpenter.

He is survived by one son, Jerry Don Amis Jr. of Paducah; one sister, Doris Fletcher of Benton; one brother, Charles Amis of Calvert City; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his brother; his parents were Charles Amis and Eula Mae Amis Burgess.

Collier Funeral Home in Benton is handling arrangements.
