BOAZ — Dora Bell Harper McIntosh, 85, of Boaz, died Sunday at 5:10 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital.

Dora was born August 15, 1927 in McCracken County to the late Tolbert and Lura Clark Harper. She retired after 42 years employment with Florsheim Shoe Company.

She is survived by a son, J.D. McIntosh and wife Nancy of Benton, Ky.; two granddaughters, Bridgetti Merrick and husband Trent of Mayfield and Angela Sullivan and husband Dean of Boaz; five great-grandchildren, Lindee (Jake) Hartsfield, Cooper Merrick, Paige Merrick, Blake Housman and Brooke Housman; and a great-great-granddaughter, Kinlee Hartsfield; and several nieces; and nephews.

Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Skeet” McIntosh; two sisters; one brother; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Mel Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
