MAYFIELD — Mrs. Lucille Garland Carrico, age 90, of Mayfield, Ky., passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012, at 1:48 P.M. at her residence.
She was a retired bookkeeper at Barton’s Men’s Wear, and was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was born in Paducah, Ky., on August 11, 1922.
Mrs. Carrico is survived by her four sons, Robert (Jean) Carrico, Phillip (Vickie) Carrico, Craig Carrico, and John (Joyce) Carrico, all of Mayfield, Ky.; three daughters, Sheila (Edmund) Walden of High Springs, Fla., Cathy Carrico of Mayfield, Ky., Joanie (Rodney) Watson of La Center, Ky.; two sisters, Louise Carrico of Mayfield, Ky., Judy Elliott of Fancy Farm, Ky.; two brothers, Robert Garland of Murray, Ky., Joe Garland of Paducah, Ky.; two half-sisters, Ellen Forrester and Marilyn Miller, both of Mayfield, Ky.; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Carrico; one son, Thomas F. Carrico Jr.; two grandchildren, Shelley Carrico, Bob Carrico II; one brother, Bill Garland; and five sisters, Margaret Ross, Dottye Stafford, Theresa Desai, Rose Ann Thomas, and Sister Joan Marie Garland; her parents, William McKinley Garland and Mary Saffer Garland.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Riley officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Tom Carrico, Chris Carrico, Matthew Walden, Adam Watson and Charlie Ross.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph Church Building Fund, 700 West Broadway, Mayfield, KY 42066.
The Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.
