EDDYVILLE — Jerry G. “Head” McNeely, 53, of Eddyville died at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday at Lourdes hospital.

He was a member of Hopwell Baptist Church in Kuttawa and former owner of Tackle Box Bait and Tackle in Suwanee.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Wells McNeely; one son, Quinten McNeely of Eddyville; four daughters, Lindsey May, Erika Nicole Guess, Jessica Lindsey May, all of Kuttawa, and Jerika Haley McNeely of Eddyville; three brothers, Larry McNeely of Paducah, Garry “Pudgy” McNeely of Eddyville, and Randy McNeely of Murray; one sister, Jeretta Lefan of Dycusburg; and four grandchildren.

His parents were Plenty L. and Hilda Marie Griggs McNeely.

A memorial celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell Baptist Church in Kuttawa with the Rev. Mike Farmer officiating, followed by a fellowship meal in the fellowship hall. 

There will be no visitation.

Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville is in charge of arrangements.
