Edith Mae Farmer West, 91, of Paducah died at 7:02 p.m. Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital.

She was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ and Moling Church of Christ, and personnel officer for the State of Illinois Mental Health Facility.

She is survived by one daughter, Paula Diane Sweeton of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Dennis Paul West of Chicago, and David M. West of Paducah; one sister, Dolphia “Dot” Louise O’Dell of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, James Farmer of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one grandchild. Her parents were Julius Otto and Myrtle Alice Hopkins Farmer.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Jamie Boone officiating. Burial will be in Cox Cemetery in Dixon Springs, Ill.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
