HICKORY — Shirley J. Reed, 77, of Hickory died Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital.

She was a homemaker, a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church and a volunteer for the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband, Billy D. Reed; one son, Greg Reed of Benton; one daughter, Rhonda Wade of Mayfield; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert David Reed, and one sister; her parents were Robert and Leona Johnson Gough.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Pete Carlisle officiating.
