MURRAY — Odie B. Burkeen, 99, of Murray died at 8:16 p.m. Monday at Laurel of Bon Air in Richmond, Va.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired as restaurant manager for K-Mart in Detroit.

She is survived by one daughter, Lenda Massa of Midlothian, Va.; one sister; Dorothy Morris of Murray; one brother, Ovie Lee of Murray; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Burkeen; one son, Joe Thomas Burkeen; one grandson; four sisters; and two brothers; her parents were Thomas and Lucy Lee.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.
