LA CENTER — Gil Perkins, 56, of La Center passed away at 12:54 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Perkins was a mechanic, a farmer, and an avid motorcyclist.

Surviving are his life partner, Terris Lovelace of La Center; one sister, Mary Carol Shaw of Arizona; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Gladys Perkins.

Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in La Center, with Bro. Dee Hazelwood officiating. Cremation will follow at Cremation Society of Paducah.

Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
