MAYFIELD — Mr. and Mrs. Gerald McClain of Mayfield celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26 with a family dinner at Patti’s restaurant in Grand Rivers.

Mr. McClain and the former Joyce Deane Pickard were married Aug. 26, 1962, by the Rev. Bob Dotson Jr. at Sedalia United Methodist Church. Their attendants were Ken Keel and Reba Moreland Griffith.

Mrs. McClain is a retired teacher for the Graves County School System. She is the daughter of the late V.L. Pickard and the late Katherine Evadinger.

Mr. McClain is self-employed at Gerald McClain Insurance Inc., LLC. He is the son of the late Homer and Mabel Roberts McClain.

They have two children: Deanna McClain Galloway Eberts of Marion, Ill., and Christine McClain Johnson of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
