CALVERT CITY — Judy Smith, age 66, of Calvert City, Ky., died Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at her residence in Calvert City, Ky.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Calvert City Church of Christ. She received a B.A. degree from the University of Louisville and an M.A. degree from Murray State University. She retired after 30 years of teaching and was a member of KY Retired Teachers Association and Alpha Delta Kappa, an organization for women educators.

She is survived by her husband, David Earl Smith Sr., of Calvert City, Ky.; one daughter, Dr. Julie Robertson (Trey) of Johnson City, Tenn.; one son, Dr. David E. Smith Jr. (Crystal) of Paducah, Ky.; six grandchildren, John Robertson, Alexandra Smith, Lauren Smith, Luke Robertson, Blake Robertson, Peyton Robertson. She is also survived by two brothers, Harold “Sammy” Jones of Princeton and Donald W. Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; four nieces, and one nephew.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Harold “Sam” Jones and Lillian (Creekmur) Jones.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Funeral services will be held at Calvert City Church of Christ on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., with Lance Cordle officiating.

Interment will follow at Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, Ky.

Visitation will be held at Collier Funeral Home on Saturday, September 29, 2012, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
