SOUTH FULTON, Tenn. — Willis Franklin Hayden, 80, of South Fulton died Saturday at Northbrooke Health Care in Jackson, Tenn.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean conflict, and was a retired engineer for Illinois Central Railroad.

He is survived by two daughters, Trudy Peters of Paducah and Amy Overbay of Nashville; two sons, Ted Hayden of Memphis and Tim Hayden of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Hayden; and one sister, Kay Hayden Hays. His parents were Herbert Leon and Joyce Eleanor Goza Hayden.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. A private entombment will follow at Obion County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
