BENTON — John H. Tynes, 49, of Benton, went to be with his Savior on September 21, 2012, at his home.

John was born May 31, 1963, in Gainesville, Fla., then moved to Benton in 1971 with his family.

John started working in the hospitality industry at age 16 and graduated from Marshall County High School in 1982.

He attended Murray State University where he met his wife Rebecca.

John is survived by his wife of 19 years, Rebecca (Prince) Tynes of Benton; his parents, Phillip and Ann Tynes of Benton; his sister, Joele Cardwell of Benton, and his niece, Summer Cardwell of Benton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2012, in the Chapel of Collier Funeral Home in Benton.

Rev. Frank Queen will officiate.

Interment is to follow the service in Marshall County Memory Gardens in Benton.

Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
