HICKMAN — James Franklin Thomas, 64, of Hickman died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Thomas was a crane operator for the former Sigri Carbon plant in Hickman and a member of East Baptist Church. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by one son, James Thomas Jr. of Hickman; two brothers, Kenneth Thomas of Marmaduke, Ark., and Richard Thomas of Ohio; three sisters, Shelia Thomas of Savannah, Tenn., Janie Wheeler of Alton, Ill., and Linda Adrian of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers. His parents were Robert and Lenora Thomas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Strong Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Poe officiating. Burial will be in Hickman City Cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
