BARDWELL — Joanne Blanks, 82, of Wickliffe and formerly of Bardwell, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012, at Lourdes hospital.
Mrs. Blanks was of the Baptist faith, a volunteer for the Lions Roar Thrift Store in Bardwell, and a member of the Carlisle County Homemakers for 54 years.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Henry Douglas Blanks; two daughters, Karen and Gary Myers of Wickliffe, and Jennifer and Jimmy White of Mounds, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Blanks of Wickliffe, and Barbara and Wayne Deweese of Cunningham; two grandchildren, Valarie and Walt Burnley of Kevil, and Todd Myers of Wickliffe; two great-grandchildren, Wendy and Lacey Burnley of Kevil; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Blanks was preceded in death by her parents, James Frank and Ona Jones Linn; and one brother-in-law, Billy Earl Blanks.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Zoar Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
