Rodney and Candy Murphy of Eddyville announce the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Dawn Murphy, to Logan Scott Anderson, son of Scott and Gale Anderson of Murray.

Miss Murphy is the granddaughter of Doug and Betty Tabor of Princeton, and Bobby and Joyce Murphy of Princeton. She is a 2002 graduate of Caldwell County High School in Princeton and earned a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics in 2006 from Murray State University.

Mr. Anderson is the grandson of Peggy Wiggins of Murray and the late Bobby Wiggins, Bill and Mary Lee Anderson of Lone Oak, and Tom Burgess of Bardwell and the late Martha Burgess. He is a 2005 graduate of Murray High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering and technology from Murray State University in 2010. He is employed by Flintco Constructive Solutions in Memphis, Tenn.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. Oct. 6 at The Arboretum at Murray State University in Murray. All friends and relatives are invited.
