Mr. Bennie Hall, 61, of Paducah, passed away Sunday morning, September 2, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Noon in Sanctuary of the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church, 2210 West Hovekamp in Paducah, officiated by Pastor Joel Harper and Rev. Ray Romain. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday evening from 4 until 9 p.m. and again from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday. Bennie will be laid to rest in the Cothron Cemetery in Smithland. King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz, Kentucky and funeral director Bobby Reed are assisting the family with the arrangements.

Born in Smithland, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ray Howard Hall and Goldie Marie Knight Hall. On April 17, 1970, Bennie entered into marriage with Rosie Mae Blair. Their union blessed them with two daughters. He was retired from General Tire as a Banbury Operator, and was a member of the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church. Bennie was a member of the Kentucky Council of Carpenters-Local 357 and a former box-truck driver for H.T. Hackney. He worked for Wayne Lindsey and was a self-employed roofer, carpenter and remodeler. In his free time, Bennie enjoyed all kinds of outdoor experiences and was a commercial fisherman and hunter. He greatly enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and gardening. He was the owner of a small engine repair shop and enjoyed whittling. Bennie was best described as a “Jack of all trades.”

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Rosie, Bennie is survived by two daughters, Tammie Lynn Hall (Chris) Russell of Graves County and Kristy Gail Hall of Paducah; three brothers, Jimmy Ray (Vanessa) Hall of Paducah, Lannie Lee (Gail) Hall and Ricky Dean Hall, both of Smithland; a sister, Margaret (Chris) Shelton of Smithland; three grandchildren: Amber, Kevin, and Tarynn Russell, all of Graves County; two great-grandchildren, Ashton and Zaine Russell; and several nieces and nephews.
