WC Colson, 85, of Paducah, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at his residence.

Born October 7, 1926, Mr. Colson was a member of the Heath Church of Christ, a retired Greyhound Bus Driver of 32 years, and was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Starkie Colson Sr. and Overa Outland Colson; and five brothers, Odell Colson, Rudell Colson, Clyde Colson, Clyve Colson, and Aron Colson.

Mr. Colson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Martha Sowell Colson; two sons, Bill Colson and wife Cindy of Morganfield, Ky, and John Colson and wife Robin of West Paducah; two daughters, Becky Henson and husband Lewis of West Paducah and Jane Gines of Atlanta; a sister, Diance Bucy and husband Howard of Lynn Grove; ten grandchildren, Kevin Henson and wife Sheryl of Benton, Hillary Henson of Henderson, Ky., L.W. Allen of Atlanta, Bree Snow and husband Bob of Paducah, Merideth Kelly of Kevil, Brooke Ibraham of Los Angeles, Calif., Morgan Hyatte of Atlanta, Blake Colson of Ledbetter, Bronson Colson and Jacob Colson, both of West Paducah; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 4th, 2012, at Murray Memorial Gardens. Bro. Martin Severns will officiate.
