Herman and Wanda Grimes

CALVERT CITY — Mr. and Mrs. Herman L. Grimes of Calvert City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at Sharpe Baptist Church, 9181 Scale Road, Benton. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Grimes and the former Wanda Ruth McDaniel were married Sept. 10, 1962, by the Rev. J.W. Hansen in Salem. Their attendants were Shelby Roe Vaughn and Linda Munson.

Mrs. Grimes is a retired teacher from the Livingston County School System with 29 years of service. She is the daughter of the late James R. and Edna McDaniel.

Mr. Grimes is retired from the Kentucky Transportation Department. He is the son of the late Orbin and Thelma Grimes.

They are the parents of David Grimes and Cami Williams, both of Calvert City. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
