BENTON — Donald “Don” York, 76, of Benton died Monday at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He was retired from the Shawnee Steam Plant.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy York; two daughters, Donna Angle and Susie Groves, both of Benton; two sons, Denny York and Terry York, both of Benton; five sisters, Molene Rudd, Catherine Frizzell, Lorene Barnes, and Nell Connor, all of Benton, and Rosemary Todd of Kirksey; four brothers, Dink York, Holland York, Edd York, and Bob York, all of Benton; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. His parents were Amos York and Lena York.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Collier Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Joel Frizzell and David Myers officiating. Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
