John Hartig of Paducah and Victoria Hartig of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Michele “Shelly” Hartig, to Christopher Bass, son of Gary and Reba Bass of Kevil.

Miss Hartig is the granddaughter of John and Michele Hartig of Paducah, and the late James and Linda Mason. She is a 2006 graduate of Heath High School, a 2008 graduate of West Kentucky Community & Technical College, and a 2012 graduate of Murray State University. She is employed by Four Rivers Behavioral Health in Paducah.

Mr. Bass is the grandson of Raymond and Willa Mae Gray of the Ragland community, and Carl Bass of Bandana. He is a 2005 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School in Barlow. He is employed by Mike Soper Farms.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m. Sept. 15 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited.
