BENTON — Walter Richard Hicks III, 55, of Benton died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at Marshall County Hospital.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Hicks and Billie Jean Andrews, both of Pennsylvania; and four sisters, Sue Cwiertniewicz of Albrightsville, Pa.; Wendy Fulton of Syracuse, N.Y., Kelly Schafer of West Hazelton, Pa., and Tammy Wall of Summit Hill, Pa.

He was preceded in death by one son, Walter Richard Hicks IV; and his parents, Walter Richard Hicks Sr. and Nora Ann Kleinle Hicks.

There will be no visitation or services. Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
