Evelyne Bailey, 95, died at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday in Paducah.

Mrs. Bailey will always be remembered as the gracious Danish lady from Detroit to Paducah.

Mrs. Bailey loved her home and family. She was a devoted daughter and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, music, reading, playing bridge, and was an active member of First Presbyterian Church.

Her survivors are four children, Jack Bailey, Sonny Bailey, Karen Drew, and Christina “Teena” Seaborn all of Paducah. She has eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, E.M. Bailey (Jack); her parents, Marie and Jacob Ovesen; and two brothers Jack and Clayton Ovesen.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Marshall County with Rev. Lynn Shurley officiating. There will be no visitation. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
