SMITHLAND — Myrtle (Charlene) Riley, 77, of Smithland died Aug. 20 at her home.

Mrs. Riley was a homemaker and Avon representative for 13 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smithland.

She is survived by two sons, Ricky Riley and Randall Riley, both of Smithland; three daughters, Loretta Ogden of Watertown, Tenn., Bernice Henson of Paducah and Kathy Vessels of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Ray Edmonds of Grand Rivers; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Roy Edmonds; her mother, Martha “Taylor” Edmonds; her husband, Lawrence (Lassies) Riley; one brother; and three sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland. Burial will follow at Smithland Cemetery.
