Sallee Wilson of Murray and Michael Oswalt of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Ashlee Oswalt, to David Carr, son of Howell and Ann Carr of Mayfield.

Miss Oswalt is the granddaughter of Gary and Shirley Beckett of Gilbertsville, and Robert and Shirley Oswalt of Benton. She is a 2011 graduate of Murray State University and is employed by Purchase Area District Development.

Mr. Carr is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Nelson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Carr. He is a 2009 graduate of Murray State University and is employed at Carr’s Steakhouse.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 1 at Carr’s Steakhouse Annex, 213 West Broadway, Mayfield. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
