PRINCETON — James Oliver Marquess, 84, of Princeton died Friday at Caldwell Medical Center.

He was a retired General Motor Cadillac welder and inspector, member of Northside Baptist Church, and a World War II veteran.

He is survived by four sons, Jim Marquess of Las Vegas, Bill Marquess of Wyandotte, Mich., Paul Marquess of Taylor, Mich., and Dan Marquess of Englewood, Colo.; and one daughter, Lequietta “Penny” Folk of Ypsilanti, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Nelums Marquess; his parents, James Geoffrie and Autrey Patterson Marquess; one brother; and two sisters.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Crittenden County.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
