LA CENTER — Rickey Jarvis, 59, of La Center died at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday at Western Baptist Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Jarvis; his father, Jimmie Mack Jarvis, and his stepmother, Dawn Jarvis, both of Kokomo, Ind.; two sons, Christopher Gunnell and Jesse Gunnell, both of Kokomo; three stepsons, Ryan Rankert of Florida, and Matthew Rankert and Adam Rankert, both of La Center; three brothers, Jimmie C. Jarvis of Shepherdsville, and Jeff Jarvis and Greg Jarvis, both of Kokomo; one sister, Dianna Evans of Florida; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Jarvis.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Kokomo.
