Rhodeen Stewart (Davis) Seay, 87, of Paducah, died Friday, August 10, 2012, at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, N.H.
Rhodeen was born in Paducah on April 24, 1925, to the late Dr. Elmer Earl Davis and Rhoda S. Potts Davis. She was a member of Central Church of Christ and enjoyed her church family very much. She loved to cook and was known for her chocolate pies and coconut cakes. She was a voracious reader and lifetime lover of books.
Surviving are her children, Terry Mudd and husband, Howard of Jefferson, N.H., Marilyn Seay Saxon of Portland, OR., and Adrian Keith Seay and wife, Penny of Nashville; granddaughter, Amy Kilpatrick Griffith of Paducah; four grandsons, Matthew A. Davis of Milton, TN., Adam G. Seay and wife, Keri of Nashville, Aaron K. Seay and wife, Terre of Atlanta, and Michael C. Kilpatrick and wife Tiffany of Portland; stepgrandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey M. Mudd and wife, Jill, Brian H. Mudd and wife, Julie, and Jenny Mudd Asher and husband, Corey, all of Paducah; five great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and by her friend and companion, Kandi Smith of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian E. Seay; her twin sister, Eileen Davis Cook; sister, Elaine Hays, and four brothers, Durward, Lowell, Virgil, and Raymond Hays.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Howard Mudd officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for Mrs. Seay will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday.
