Polly and Jay Johnson of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Keith and Beverly Schroeder of Glen Carbon, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Colby Ann Schroeder, to John Clark Drum, son of Jane and Mike Peitzmeier of Carlinville, Ill.

Miss Schroeder is the granddaughter of Sally Miller of Benton, Ky., and the late Jim Miller, and Virgil and Marilyn Schroeder of Crescent City, Ill. She is a 2002 graduate of Metro East Lutheran High School in Edwardsville, Ill., and earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic communications in 2009 from Blackburn College. She is a pharmacy technician employed at Wal-mart Pharmacy in Carlinville.

Mr. Drum is the grandson of Don and Myrna Wieties of Carlinville. He is a 2004 graduate of Carlinville High School and is employed as a territory sales manager in Litchfield, Ill., for Challison Inc.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. Sept. 22 at Macoupin County Courthouse in Carlinville.
