Chuck and Debbie Stigall of Gilbertsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Shanna Michelle Stigall, to Robert Louis Scales Jr., son of Bob and Debbie Scales of Newburgh, Ind.

Miss Stigall is the granddaughter of Ainna Stigall of Paducah and the late John Stigall, and the late Jim and Nancy Radcliffe. She is a 1998 graduate of Marshall County High School in Benton and a 2002 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She earned a master’s degree in nursing in 2005 from the University of Kentucky and is a nurse practitioner with Vohra Wound Physicians in Benton.

Mr. Scales is the grandson of the late James and Luria Thurman, and the late Victor and Ann Scales. He is a 1996 graduate of Boonville High School in Boonville, Ind., and earned a bachelor’s degree in science in 2001 and a master’s degree in science in 2007, both from Murray State University. He is the operations supervisor of the CFSB Center in Murray.

Wedding vows will be exchanged Sept. 22 at Hardin Baptist Church in Hardin.
