Loretta June Adkins Boren, 65, of Paducah, passed away at 1:29 p.m. at her home Friday to go to be with Jesus.
Loretta was born in Livingston County on March 11, 1947, and was called “Baby Sister” by her oldest brother, George Franklin Adkins. She was of the Pentecostal faith and had worked at Purchase Area Laundry Services. She loved crafting, especially making purses from a variety of objects. She was proud of her Indian heritage and decorated her home with Indian items as well as wolves and cherubs.
Loretta loved her family, particularly her husband, Billy G. Boren, Sr., to whom she would have been married for 47 years on August 28th. She adored her children, Shelia M. Boren of Paducah and Billy G. Boren, Jr. (wife, Angie) of Fancy Farm. She is survived by nine grandchildren; one sister; and five brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ann Adkins; a brother, Noah Wayne Adkins; and a granddaughter, Santana Dian Boren, who would have been 19 years old on February 10, 2012.
A private memorial service may take place at a later date. Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
