BENTON — Susan (Griffy) Parrott, 56, of Benton, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

She was retired from B.F. Goodrich and was a member of First Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Parrott of Benton; two daughters, Jennifer Oakley and Erin Parrott, both of Benton; one son, Cory Parrott of Benton; two brothers, Ben Griffy and Jim Griffy, both of Benton; and two grandchildren, Abigail Oakley and Lillian Hendrickson, both of Benton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Emmett Griffy Jr. and Sammie L. (Shemwell) Griffy; and two sisters, Ann Griffy King and Jane Griffy McCree.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, Ky 42025.

Memorial service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012, with the Rev. Johnny Phillips officiating.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Collier Funeral Home.
