HILLERMAN — Delbert Vincent Snell (Vince), 50, departed this life on Monday, August 6, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. Vince was born on Feb. 8, 1962, in Metropolis, IL, the son of Arnold (Buddy) and Cleta (Goines) Snell of Hillerman Community. He was married to Lori Harris Snell on June 30, 1979, and they had two children, Michael Ray, 33, of Kansas and Stetson Vince, 14, of Hillerman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis, IL with Matt Snell and Rev. David Keyes officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillerman Baptist Church cemetery.

Vince is also survived by two daughters, Halle Victoria, 10, of California and Mary Faith, 6, of Hillerman; granddaughter, Lexie Kay of Joppa, IL; his sister, Darlene Harris of Vienna, IL; his brother, Randy Snell and spouse Kandi of Baird, TX, and many aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Snell; paternal grandparents, Delbert and Virginia Snell; maternal grandparents, Jess and Mary Goines; brother, Dale Snell; two uncles, Tommy Snell and Mutt Snell, and cousins, Johnny Neill, Wendi Miles, and Becky Snell Rutherford.

Vince was a member of Millwright Local 716 of St. Louis, MO. and a member of the Cairo Lodge 237, was an initiated apprentice on March 29, 1994, attained a degree of fellow craft, and master mason of May 19, 2001. Vince was a master mason for 11 years. He was also a member of Hillerman Baptist Church.

Vince loved farming, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home Saturday, August 11, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
