CADIZ — Dorothy Nell Dunn Darnall, 80, of Buna, Texas, formerly of Cadiz, died Monday at her home.

She worked as a receptionist at Futrell Clinic, Trigg County Farmers Bank and Hoover International. She was a member of Cadiz Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. She was involved in several groups in Trigg County and was a Kentucky Colonel.

She is survived by her husband, John William Darnall Jr.; one daughter, Dana Moore of Buna; three sisters, Ethelene Wallis of Hopkinsville, Jewell Simmons of Cadiz and Eunice Carr of Memphis, Tenn.; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, John William Darnall III. Her parents were Richard Dunn and Dorothy Dunn.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Tom Martin officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
