Dr. and Mrs. Robert O. Littlejohn of Wake Forest, N.C., and Mr. Peter M. Van Deusen of Chattanooga, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Van Deusen, to Norman Patrick Hely, son of Mrs. Sueann Wade Hely and Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Hely, all of Paducah.
Miss Van Deusen is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Tate of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Van Deusen. She is a graduate of Baylor School in Chattanooga and earned bachelor’s, master’s and doctor of jurisprudence degrees from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University, respectively. Miss Van Deusen is an associate attorney with the law firm of George C.J. Moore, P.A., in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Mr. Hely is the grandson of Mrs. A.B. Fendley of Paducah, the late Mrs. Dorothy Wade and the late Norman L. Hely. He is a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and earned bachelor’s and doctor of jurisprudence degrees, both from Vanderbilt University. He is an associate attorney with the law firm of Page, Mrachek, Fitzgerald, Rose, Konopka & Dow, P.A., in West Palm Beach, Fla.
The wedding will be Sept. 1 at Grandview on Lookout Mountain, overlooking Chattanooga.
