MARION — L.G. Quertermous, 87, of Marion died Saturday at his home.

He was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Danny Quertermous of Marion; one daughter, Judy Jones of Marion; one stepson, Jackie Moore of Marion; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, and one brother. His parents were Guthrie and Alice Quertermous.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion. Interment will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with military rites.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
