BENTON — Donnie J Garland, 57, of Benton died at 3:06 a.m. Tuesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

He was employed by J. Jerod Company in Benton for maintenance and was a member of Church of Christ.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Smith Garland of Benton; his wife, Cathy Haley Garland; one daughter, Ami Freeman of Benton; one stepdaughter, Tammy Hayes of Paducah; one son, Jarod Garland of Benton; one stepson, Tim Mathis of Mayfield; one sister, Pam Loveless of Benton, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby J. Garland.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Benton with Dr. Gary Boggess officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
