MARION — Alfred Ray Sliger, 77, of Marion, died Saturday at his home in Marion.

He was a member of Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Sliger; sons, Nicholas John Sliger of Galien, Mich., and George Anthony Sliger of Valparaiso, Ind.; sisters, Faye Duggan of Oakland, Tenn., and Kay Glore and Roberta Cash, both of Marion; brother, Kenneth Sliger of Smyrna, Tenn.; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Mansel and Gladys Estelle Sliger; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion. Interment will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
