WICKLIFFE — Mr. and Mrs. Claude “Tom” Steele of the New York community of Wickliffe will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church Joy Center. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.

Mr. Steele and the former Janet Rudolph were married Aug. 4, 1962, in Dresden, Tenn., by the Rev. Cayce Pentecost. Their attendants were Randall and Margaret Verdell.

Mrs. Steele is the daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Rudolph.

Mr. Steele retired from General Motors in Indianapolis. He is the son of the late JL and Reba Overby Steele.

They have three children: Lana Bisson of Killeen, Texas, Karen Avery of Nineveh, Ind., and Craig Steele of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
