METROPOLIS, Ill. — Nova Rae Gowns) McGregor, 59, of Metropolis died at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday at her home.

She was a member of Metropolis First United Methodist Church and attended the Easter Seals Center in Paducah for many years.

She is survived by one son, Shannon McGregor of Paducah; two sisters, Connie Kommer of Carterville and Stacey Purcell of Metropolis; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister. Her parents were Harold and Aline Laird Gowins.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Sam Roberts officiating. Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of arrangements.
