Lars and Molly Blythe of Paducah announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Wallace Blythe, to Andrew Higdon DuPerrieu, son of Steve and Julie DuPerrieu of Paducah.

Miss Blythe is the granddaughter of Karrel and Wilma Wallace of Paducah, and L.C. and June Blythe of Paducah. She is a 2007 graduate of Heath High School in West Paducah and earned a bachelor’s of science in accounting and bachelor of business administration in finance in 2011 from the University of Kentucky. She is an alumna of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and is employed by Lattimore, Black, Morgan, Cain, PC, in Brentwood, Tenn.

Mr. DuPerrieu is the grandson of Doris Matheny and Joe DuPerrieu, both of Paducah, and the late Ollie and Maurene Higdon. He is a 2007 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and earned a bachelor of business administration in finance in 2011 from the University of Kentucky. He is an alumnus of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and is employed by the Tennessee Bank and Trust in Nashville, Tenn.

Wedding vows will be exchanged Sept. 1 at First Baptist Church of Paducah.
