FLINT, Mich. — Cherry Guthrie Edwards, 67, of Flint, formerly of Fulton, Ky., died Tuesday at Avalon Hospice.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church and was a dietician for St. Joseph Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Odom and Kimberly L. Edwards; one son, James Edwards Jr.; two sisters, Peggy Lewis and Margie Shanklin; two brothers, Ray Anthony Guthrie and Billy Guthrie, both of Paducah; eight grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents were Herschel and Alice Mozelle Guthrie.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Flint with James Kennedy officiating. Friends many call after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
