BANDANA — Floyd Hollowell, age 75, parted this earthly home at 11:08 A.M. at Lourdes hospital in Paducah, Kentucky, on July 6, 2012. Floyd was born December 3, 1936, in Ballard County to Willie and Evelean Cole Hollwell. He was a lifelong resident of Ballard County. He served in the US Army. At the time of his death, he was retired and on disability.

Floyd was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Little Union Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.

He is survived by six daughters, Loetta M Brooks (Melton), Threaser P. Hollowell, both of Hopkinsville, Saundra D. Hollowell Thomas (Terry) of Metropolis, IL, Reba L. Hollowell Cattlet, Rebeca S. Hollowell Radford (Roy), both of Hopkinsville, and Vicki Hollowell of Paducah; one stepdaughter, Valerie Morris of Paducah; four stepsons, Deon L. Cooper (Shelia), James Russell Williams, Jr., Wendall Williams, and Zivion T. Williams (Rachele), all of Toledo, OH. He is also survived by one brother, Eugene Hollowell of Wickliffe, and two sisters, Mary Williams of Paducah, and Mildred Kizer of Kalamazoo, MI, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Hollowell; his parents, and one brother, Earlon Hollowell.

Visitation for Floyd Hollowell will be Saturday, July 14, from 12-1 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Rev. James Vinson will be officiating. Interment will be in La Center Cemetery, LaCenter, KY, with a meal to follow at Little Union Missionary Baptist Church. Morrow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
