Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. “Bob” Jones of Lone Oak will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 15 with a dinner at Patti’s in Grand Rivers.

Mr. Jones and the former Joyce London were married July 15, 1962, in McKenzie, Tenn., by the Rev. Glen Finley and the Rev. Damon London, father of the bride. Their attendants were Gus House and Barbara Stewart.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones are both retired teachers in the McCracken County School System. Mrs. Jones is the daughter of the late Verna Bowles London and Rev. Damon London. Mr. Jones is the son of the late Ida Cannon Jones and Frank N. Jones.

They have two children: Gregg N. Jones of Richmond and Sherry Newberry of Burleson, Texas; and six grandchildren.
