SCOTT DEPOT, W.Va. — Mary Elizabeth Semder and Peter Weems Zellmer were united in marriage March 3 at St. John United Methodist Church with the Rev. Martin Hallett officiating. Music was provided by Harriet Peters, harpist. Miss Emma Perdue and Miss Molly Perdue distributed programs.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Semder of Winfield, W.Va.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. James Zellmer of Paducah.

The bride chose Mrs. Beth Semder of Charleston, W.Va., as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Catherine Zellmer of Paducah, sister of the groom; Mrs. Meridith Finkes of Columbus, Ohio; Miss Katye Kinser of Russellville, Ky.; Miss Jordan Riggle of Nashville,  Tenn.; Miss Cassandra Barnette of Point Pleasant, W.Va.; Miss Sarah Anderson of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and Mrs. Ashley Miller of Paducah. Miss Bailey Barker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Barker of Roanoke, Va., served as the flower girl. Ringbearer was Mitchell Finkes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Finkes of Columbus, Ohio.

The groom chose his brother, Edward Zellmer of Little Rock, Ark., as his best man. Groomsmen were James Zellmer, brother of the groom, and Ryan Hogancamp, both of Louisville, Ky.; Dr. Todd Semder of Charleston, W.Va., brother of the bride; Matt Jones of Lakeland, Fla.; Dr. Christopher Semder of Nashville, Tenn., brother of the bride; Daniel Miller of Paducah; and Mike Townsend of Wilmington, N.C. Dr. Christopher Semder and Dr. Todd Semder also served as candlelighters.

A reception followed at the Marriott Town Center Hotel in Charleston.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Winfield High School in Winfield, W.Va., and a 2006 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is employed as a senior financial analyst for Designer Shoe Warehouse.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of St. Mary High School in Paducah and a 2005 graduate of Methodist College in Fayetteville, N.C., with a bachelor’s degree in business/professional golf management. He is employed by the Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio.

They reside in Columbus, Ohio.
