Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Eckenberg of Metropolis, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Emma Eckenberg, to Isaac Mittendorf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mittendorf of Metropolis, Ill.

Miss Eckenberg is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sipos of Destrehan, La., and the late Elnathan Herbold, and Mrs. Helen Eckenberg of Metropolis and the late Bob Eckenberg. She is a 2008 graduate of Massac County High School and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Murray State University.

Mr. Mittendorf is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chambers of Massac County, Ill., Mrs. Phyllis Mittendorf of Metropolis, the late Lester Mittendorf and the late Francie Mittendorf. He is a 2009 graduate of Massac County High School and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Murray State University, where he is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6:15 p.m. June 2 at Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah. All friends and relatives are invited to the ceremony and reception following at the Julian M. Carroll Convention Center in Paducah. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
